Several different examples of 2KEH sweetheart badges have been noted several of which are shown in Figure 379.

On the top row the badges are: on the left is a full size 2KEH fully voided gilding metal cap badge with loops that has been attractively decorated with red and blue enamel. Second from the left is smaller silver and red and blue enamel sweetheart badge which is non-voided with a brooch fitting. Third from the left is s slightly smaller example with red and blue enamel on a brass badge with voiding to the top and bottom scrolls with a brooch fitting. The sweetheart badge on the far right is slightly smaller again and is a plain brass badge that is non-voided and with a brooch fitting. This style of 2KEH sweetheart badge has been noted in blackened and gilding metal with brooch fittings. The badge to the left on the bottom row is a silver and etched black tortoise shell with a brooch fitting. This style of sweetheart badge is common to most Regiments in the Great War. The badge on the lower right is 2KEH shoulder title converted from loops to a brooch fitting and worn as a sweetheart badge.
